Paris, Easter 20th - 24th March 2008

For Easter this year we visited Paris for four nights. We stayed 500 metres from the Eiffel Tower on the river Seine. Even though the weather was a bit miserable and cold, Paris is the most beautiful city we have visited. We took the TGV from Lausanne direct to the Gare de Lyon which took only four hours.

Day one at the Eiffel Tower after dodging the beggars and key-chain sellers.

One day Felix will finish the Tour on the Champs-Élysées.

Mum outside her favourite shop.

The Arc de Triomphe.

Mum and Felix in the cold on etage deux of the Eiffel Tower.

Aasta and the Arc de Triomphe during a brief break in the weather.

Give Felix a goose and he would probably try the same.

Venus de Milo.

Bored yet?

That's better...great to be out of the pram and exploring.

Beautiful French sculpture.

Mum and I outside the Musée du Louvre.

That must hurt.

The Notre Dame de Paris.

Can I have a ride?

My second carousel ride.

A storm over the Notre Dame de Paris.

Free from the pram again.

Come on Aasta do the can-can.

A view of Paris from the Montmartre hill.

The Basilique du Sacré-Cœur in Montmartre.

A view of the Eiffel Tower in the rain.

Annecy, France 15th March 2008

On the weekend before Easter we visited the town of Annecy in France. Annecy is about 100km from Lausanne and is not too far from the Mont Blanc. The weather was fantastic and was warm enough for t-shirts. On the day we saw a colourful parade and I had my first ride on a carousel.

On a scenic walk through the town.

The Palais de l'Isle - The palace on the island.

The canal, carousel and mountains.

Relaxing in the park.

The mountains behind the lake are so close you can almost touch them.

It's a ear.

One curious boy.

Loving the drums and colour.

Characters in the passing parade.

It has been a busy day. Time to sleep.

Update Time, March 2008

March in Lausanne and the weather is finally getting better. We can't wait for summer. Some big changes with me, I don't bother anymore with crawling and I have a pair of big boy shoes, I can feed myself and I have 10 teeth.

Mum and I go to the park nearly everyday where I play on the swings and slide and of course get into the sandpit. Mum flys back to Oz soon so I'll be stuck with Dad for 10 days.

Extra!!! Extra!!! Read all about it!!! Spoon boy has 50% hit rate from bowl to mouth.

Surprise!!! Look at who can feed themselves with no help.

I hope les chats haven't been le chatting in this sandpit.

Hello...Hello, who's there? No, I don't want to do a survey!

Not every day is a happy day. Why can't I touch my CD player?

Posing for a photo.

Fun times on the swing. Just hanging around in my Opa jumper.
